Katherani (काठेरणि) (also Kaverani (कावेरणि), Karerani (कारेरणि), Laverani (लावेरणि) is name of a Country mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi under Gahadi (गहादि) (4.2.138) group. [1]

- Kared - Kared (कारेड़) Karer (करेर) is a gotra of Jats.[4] Karer is a Muhammadan Jat clan found in Montgomery , Pakistan.[5]
Origin
There was a famous republic called Kather/Kathed (काठेड़), the people of that republic were called Katheria (कठेरिया) or Katheria (काठेरिया). [6]
History
Kathed (काठेड़) is region of Bharatpur and Bayana. Ram Chandra Pura Inscription of Maharaja Kartik mentions it as Cathida/Kathida[7]Jat Kathida[8] or Jāṭ Kāṭhiḍā[9].
