Sihmar
Sinhmar (सिहमार)[1] [2] Sihumar (सिहुमार)[3] Shihmar (शीहमार)[4] Sinhmar (सिंहमार)[5] is Jat Gotra in Punjab. Originally Kalhar, this gotra of Jats found in Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh. Sinhmar is branch of Chauhan.
Origin
- Sinhmar Gotra derives name from persons who killed Lions. this gotra is a powerful and respectable gotra of jaat people[6]
Garhi birbal is a big village which is in karnal haryana, here they also have a small sinhmar family,a few years ago jaswinder singh became the sarpanch of garhi birbal who belongs to this family.25% of the lands share is with the sinhmar famliy 75% is in the entire village..
