Villages founded by Bhadiya people

History

Bhadia Jats founded villages Thathawata in Churu district. About 800 years back the founder of the village Thatha Bhadia left charagahas on all sides of the village in the name of his family members. In the east side of village left Kishananu, which is now site of a Pakka Johad. In the north he left Ramani, which has now been occupied by harijans from the village. In the south he left Goganu and Rukhani. In west left Ukalai and Hiranu. All these are common lands used for grazing of the cattle.

Banthod and Rol villages in Sikar district were also founded by Bhariya Jats. Banthod is probably biggest village of Bhadias with about 200 families. Some families went to Khotia village from Banthod.

The village Sonasar (Jhunjhunu) was founded by Sona Ram Jat of Bhadia gotra in year 1616 who gave the name Sonasar to the village.

Bhadiya people of Churi Miyan village came from Bhinchari in Samvat 1632 (1575 AD) and settled here. Earlier it was inhabited by Sarawag Jats.[5]

Bhariya is also a village in Sarada tahsil in Udaipur District in Rajasthan.

XV Lalrai Stone Inscription of Kelhanadeva S.V. 1233 (1176 AD)

This Inscription was found amongst the scattered ruins of a Jaina temple at Lalrai, 5 miles north-east of Bali Pali. It has 18 lines of writing. Characters are Nagari. The letter ḍ is denoted by a ear-ring sign. The record is dated Thursday, the 13th of the dark half of Jyeshtha, the vikram year 1233. It refers to the rule of Maharajadhiraja Kelhanadeva ruling at Nadula. It then tells us that Rajaputra Lakhanapalha and the Rajaputra Abhayapala proprietors (bhoktri) of Sinanava and sons of Kirtipala, doubtless younger brother of Kelhana and donar of the Nadol plates made a grant conjointly with queen Mahibaladevi in the presence of village pancha (pancha-kula) for celebrating the festival of god Shantinatha. The grant consisted of barley corn measuring one haraka as used in the country of Gujaratri, from the araghata or machine well called urahari and belonging to the village Bhadiyauva.
