Budia (बुड़िया)[1] Buria (बुड़िया)[2] Buriya (बुडिया) Budiya (बुडिया) gotra Jats live in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
Origin
This gotra is said to be started from their ancestral kingdom named Budia. It is said to have been founded by Birbal, one of the Ministers of Akbar. [3]Thakur Deshraj has identified the clan Budia with Ordabae as mentioned by Megasthenes in his Indica.[4]

History
Megasthenes has described about this clan in Indica as Ordabae. He writes, Then next to these towards the Indus come, in an order which is easy to follow The Amatae (Antal), Bolingae (Balyan), Gallitalutae (Gahlot), Dimuri (Dahiya), Megari (Maukhari), Ordabae (Buria), Mese (Matsya). इतिहास
दलीप सिंह अहलावत[5] लिखते हैं:अमृतसर के भावल गांव के सरदार नानूसिंह मद्र ने अपने भाई भागसिंह, रामसिंह को लेकर जगाधरी के पास बूड़िया नामक विशाल किले पर 1764 ई० में अधिकार कर लिया और 200 गांवों पर शासन स्थिर करके एक बूड़िया रियासत बना ली थी। (इसी बूड़िया में बीरबल का जन्म हुआ था जो सम्राट् अकबर के दरबार में था)।
