History
Dalip Singh Ahlawat Writes - भाषाभेद से यह गोधा शब्द, योद्धा शब्द का अपभ्रंश है (द्वितीय अध्याय जाट्स दी ऐनशन्ट रूलर्ज पृ० 6, लेखक बी० एस० दहिया)। यह जाटवंश है। भीष्मपर्व अध्याय 9 के अनुसार भारतवर्ष के जनपदों में यह गोधा जनपद भी था। वास्तव में यह यौधेय जनपद था। महाराज युधिष्ठिर के राजसूय यज्ञ में यौधेय राजकुमार बहुत धन लाये थे।[15]

Godhe (गॊधे) is mentioned in Mahabharata verse (XIII.4.46) [16].... The celebrated wife of Godhe too gave birth to the regenerate Rishi Viswamitra versed in the knowledge of Brahma, by favour of that Rishi. The highly devout Vishwamitra, though a Kshatriya, attained to the state of a Brahmana and became the founder of a race of Brahmanas.
