Kalirawna (कालीरावणा) Kalarawana (कालारावणा) [1] Kalirawan (कालीरावण) [2]Kalirawana (कालीरावणा) gotra Jats are found in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana. The Kalerawan clan supported the ascendant clan Saroya and became part of a political confederacy.[3]
Origin
Kalirawana clan gets name from its ancestor of the same name. [4]
History
Kalirawan (कालीरावण) tribe of Jats, claiming descent from a Sirohas by a Nain clan wife : found in Hissar. [5]
This gotra is branch of Nagavansh or Nagas. Dilip Singh Ahlawat has mention it as one of the ruling Jat clans in Central Asia. [6] Known as Kala in Maharashtra, Kalas are descendants of Kalashoka (कालाशोक); who was son of Shishunaga. They had won the Kalakuta (कालकूट) country also. [7]
Sub divisions of Saroya
Bhim Singh Dahiya[8] provides us list of Jat clans who were supporters of the Saroya when they gained political ascendancy. The Kalerawan clan supported the ascendant clan Saroya and became part of a political confederacy.[9]
कालीरावण गोत्र का इतिहास
पंडित अमीचन्द्र शर्मा[10] ने लिखा है - जिला हिसार में जाटों के बड़े गाँव सिसाय में एक कालीरावण पान्ना है। इनका गोत्र कालीरावण है। उनके बड़े का नाम कालीरावण था और वह सरोहा क्षत्रिय संघ में था। सरोहा संघ में मुख्यतया जाट गोत्र थे। कालीरावण सिरसा का रहने वाला था और वहाँ से आकर सिसाय ग्राम में रहने लगा था। वह जाट संघ में मिल गया। उसकी संतान कालीरावण जाट हैं
