Sardarshahar (सरदारशहर) is a town and tahsil in Churu district in Rajasthan.

Founders
Sardarshahar's old name was Rajiasar founded by Saran Jats. Rathores built a fort here and then first changed it to Sardargarh, later changed to Sardarshahar in name of Kunwar Sardar Singh of Bikaner in 1838.[1]
